Safekeepings After School Elementary Programs, led by Khadijah Lewis & Gloria Sanders (housed inside of Changing Channels International Ministries) offers a safe, nurturing environment for children in grades 1-6. We focus on building strong foundations in reading, math, and homework support, ensuring academic success. Children also learn essential life skills like cleanliness, preparation, and organization. Safekeepings encourages kids to dream big, supporting both their academic and personal growth in a positive space.

Our focus will be on homework help, math and reading support, ensuring these foundational areas are strengthened.
We also aim to inspire and encourage children to dream big and believe in their ability to achieve anything they set their minds to.
Our after school elementary programs will not only support their academic growth but also teach important life skills, like cleanliness, preparation, and organization, to help them become more organized at home.
By the end of the day, your child will have made meaningful progress, far beyond what they would experience just at school.

Gloria Sanders brings a deep sense of purpose, compassion, and dedication to her role as Program Director at Safekeepings Afterschool Program. A God-fearing woman and active church participant, Gloria believes in fostering an environment where kids can truly be kids. She radiates positive energy, focusing on making each child feel valued,
Gloria Sanders brings a deep sense of purpose, compassion, and dedication to her role as Program Director at Safekeepings Afterschool Program. A God-fearing woman and active church participant, Gloria believes in fostering an environment where kids can truly be kids. She radiates positive energy, focusing on making each child feel valued, empowered, and encouraged. Her genuine care and attention make her a constant source of support, inspiring children to feel good about themselves and build confidence in their unique abilities.
Gloria’s commitment to her community extends beyond her role at Safekeepings. She enjoys gardening, volunteering, and lending a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors. Professionally, Gloria is known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and excellent organizational skills. She is highly efficient, thrives in high-energy environments, and welcomes constructive feedback as part of her ongoing growth.
With a diverse background spanning human resources, project management, and education, Gloria brings a wealth of experience to Safekeepings. She has served as an executive assistant, project program specialist, and as a substitute teacher and computer lab assistant at elementary, middle, and high schools, where she taught computer technology and software applications. Gloria holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and several professional certifications from San Francisco Community College and Capital City Business College.
With Gloria at the helm, Safekeepings Afterschool Program is in caring, capable hands, ensuring that each child has a safe, nurturing, and joyful space to grow and thrive.
